I was chairman for the 2009 committee, managed all vendor relations, and created all marketing and advertising materials. The Bridal Fair committee of local merchants wanted to create an experience like no other bridal fair and I wanted to create an even larger splash by using the entire town.
We included all the shops, bed and breakfasts, restaurants, and wedding venues to make this a special day for everyone.
When brides and their parties came to register, they were welcomed with a "fashion alley" and gallery of traditional and photo-journalistic photos in the Historic Jonesborough Visitors Center. (pictured)
Our fashion show had a dance exhibition, pet fashions, and a video made by Chad Conner of Tri-Cities Video. The bride and groom in the video walked out from behind the screen when the video was over. (pictured) It was really neat!
